Challenging behaviour course

Course overview

Our challenging behaviour course is geared towards the learning disabilities sector to give staff working with clients who have a learning disability a good understanding of why challenging behaviour occurs and how they can promote and possible change lifestyles of those who display such behaviours.

Course objectives

By the end of the course the participant will have:

• Identified the functions of particular behaviours for individuals
• Reviewed possible causes of challenging behaviour
• Identified ways to improve the lifestyles of people with challenging behaviour.
• Responded appropriately to emotional arousal in others
